About the role
NextDrive Chicago is a fast-moving used car dealership looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Automotive Detailer/Porter. You'll be on the front lines of making every vehicle look its best before it hits the lot — your work is what customers see first. This is a hands-on role with real room to grow.
What you'll do
Perform full interior and exterior detailing — wash, vacuum, wipe-down, shampoo, and dressing of all surfaces
Buff and polish vehicle exteriors to remove light scratches, swirl marks, and oxidation
Move, park, and stage vehicles on the lot for display and customer delivery
Prep newly acquired vehicles — deep clean, odor treatment, and touch-ups as needed
Maintain a clean and organized detail bay and supply inventory
Assist the sales team with vehicle deliveries and last-minute prep
Transport vehicles to and from service or auction locations as needed
What we're looking for
Valid Illinois driver's license with a clean driving record (required)
Prior auto detailing, buffing, or car wash experience preferred — we'll train the right person
Comfortable operating a dual-action or rotary buffer
Comfortable driving both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
Able to handle physical work — standing, bending, and working outdoors in various weather
Team player who takes pride in quality work
Salary : $3,000 - $5,000
