Bilingual Surgical Dental Assistant – Implant Experience Required
Westchase Smiles Institute is seeking an experienced, dependable, and energetic Bilingual Dental Assistant to join our growing dental team.
The ideal candidate is comfortable assisting with surgical and implant procedures, works well in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist the doctor during general, surgical, and implant procedures
- Prepare and maintain surgical operatories
- Assist with dental implant placement, extractions, and bone grafting procedures
- Understand surgical instruments, implant components, and sterile protocols
- Take high-quality digital impressions using an iTero scanner or similar digital scanning system
- Take dental X-rays and CBCT scans as permitted
- Review preoperative and postoperative instructions with patients
- Maintain proper sterilization and infection-control standards
- Accurately document clinical information and treatment notes
- Keep rooms stocked, organized, and ready for procedures
- Work closely with doctors, assistants, front-office staff, and laboratory team members
- Provide compassionate care and help patients feel comfortable throughout treatment
Qualifications
- Dental assisting experience required
- Surgical dental assisting experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with dental implant placement and bone grafting
- Experience with iTero or other intraoral digital scanners
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Current CPR certification required
- All required dental assisting licenses and certifications must be active and up to date
- Knowledge of sterilization and infection-control procedures
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
- Dependable, organized, professional, and detail-oriented
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to remain calm and efficient during complex procedures
- Willingness to learn and grow with the practice
Preferred Experience
- Full-arch implant or All-on-X procedures
- Implant restorations and digital workflows
- CBCT imaging
- Surgical setup and postoperative care
- Temporary prosthesis delivery and adjustment
