Duties
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including dental examinations, medical history reviews, and oral health evaluations using advanced medical imaging techniques.
- Deliver a wide range of general dentistry services such as dental cleanings, restorations, prosthodontics (crowns, bridges), root canal therapy, and dental extractions.
- Conduct pediatric dentistry procedures with a gentle approach tailored to young patients’ needs.
- Utilize dental terminology accurately and maintain detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical records standards.
- Implement aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with dental assistants in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize patient flow and treatment efficiency.
- Prepare and fabricate dental prostheses or restorations as needed, ensuring precise fit and function.
- Use dental office software such as Easy Dental.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans to promote long-term oral health.
- Maintain current knowledge of dental procedures, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and emerging best practices in dentistry.
Experience
- Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic or dental office environment with a strong background in general dentistry.
- Demonstrated proficiency with dental imaging techniques and endodontic procedures such as root canal therapy.
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and treating pediatric patients is highly desirable.
- Experience with electronic health record systems like Easy Dental is preferred.
- Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic technique, and HIPAA compliance is essential.
- Prior experience performing dental extractions and prosthodontic procedures is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, medical documentation standards, and medical terminology related to dentistry.
