Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote childhood development, social skills, and early learning concepts
- Support children during playtime, meal times, nap times, and other routine activities to ensure their safety and comfort
- Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that foster creativity, curiosity, and social interaction
- Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and needs to inform teaching strategies and communicate with parents or guardians
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by providing tailored care and assistance under supervision
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary, to ensure a secure environment for all children
Skills
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to promote positive conduct and social skills
- Ability to perform first aid and respond effectively in emergency situations
- Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
- Classroom management skills to support a structured yet flexible learning environment
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism
