What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Accountant position at Westbrook Partners?
This position will be a key member of Westbrook Partners’ corporate accounting team located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The position will be responsible for assisting the Company’s accounting group with all accounting functions to include, but not limited to, budgeting and financial statements, reconciliations, general ledgers, intercompany transactions, depreciation of fixed assets, capital activities, accounts payables, payroll journal entries, payroll taxes, and wire transfers for the Company, its affiliates, and the funds that it manages.
Primary Functions and Essential Responsibilities
Monitor daily account activities
- Check cash activities in the bank accounts and update cash log
- Post check deposits into Sage Intacct
- Create intercompany invoices and post payment into Sage Intacct
Maintain applicable schedules
- Payroll Schedules
- Japanese tax withholding rate schedule
- Cash vs accrual schedules
Review
- Weekly wires
- Wire edit
Assist with quarterly GP allocation
- Collect timesheets
- Update time allocation on the schedule
- Post GP allocation payment into Sage Intacct
Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financials
- Review financials of subsidiaries
- Review company GL to ensure the entries are posted correctly
- Convert financials of foreign entities
- Prepare financials of GP entities
Responsible for GP capital activities
- Prepare GP drawdown and distribution notices & send out
- Update ITD and YTD partner capital schedules and tax schedules
- Maintain GP members' info.
Other ad-hoc responsibilities may include:
- Apply applicable tax forms for GP members every year
- Special projects
Qualifications
- 5 years of higher level accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting
- CPA preferred
- Sage Intacct software experience preferred
- High-level Microsoft Excel skills
