Job Description

This position will require strong management skills to run a successful and efficient front end department focused on exceptional customer service. This position will require processing monetary transactions for customers with speed and efficiency as well as assisting cashiers with customer related issues, refunds, returns, etc. This will be a full time position with a minimum of three closing days per week, weekend availability/Sundays are required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Operates a cash register, including responsibility of cash till
• Bags and packs customer purchases with care
• Coordinates breaks based on employee schedules
• Processes returns and refunds for customers, as well as rings alcohol for minors
• Responsible for maintaining and counting cash safe as well as processing cash exchanges in Huntington vault
• Stocks and maintains displays
• Maintains current knowledge of product
• Maintains clean and organized work area free of hazards
• Provides exceptional customer service
• Abides by Westborn Market’s time and attendance policy
• Keeps a positive and helpful attitude during length of shift
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Demonstrates basic math skills with and without a calculator
• Ability to write legibly and read with comprehension at a level where it applies to this position
• Ability to train new employees
• Exceptional time management and communication skills
