Westaff has an immediate opening for an experienced Accounting Clerk in the downtown area.
Monday - Friday, 8-430
Pay range: $19.00 - $21.00
This position is responsible for the preparation and issuing of refunds due to overpayments, tax sale cancellations, payments made in error.
Job Duties: Determine refunds to be issued, utilizing the Collection Software (TCM). Post overpayments, tax sale cancellations, payments made in error and refunds into database and mail refund checks.Process mortgage company payments received by mail. Prepare NSF take off log for all payments returned by the bank and post NSF handling fees to database. Assist customers at the counter when necessary, which includes but is not limited to taking payments. Provide quality service to all customers. Answer phones as needed. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Able to think independently and be a self-starter.

Must be a high school graduate or have a GED, have good communication skills and be able to deal with the general public on a regular basis. Must be able to multitask, have a working knowledge of computers, and pay attention to detail.
