We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as our Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) with a primary focus on Infection Prevention and Control. This vital role ensures the highest standards of resident safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance in our skilled nursing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the facility’s infection prevention and control program.
Develop and implement evidence-based policies and procedures aligned with state and federal regulations.
Conduct routine staff education and training on infection control practices.
Perform audits, surveillance, and risk assessments across all departments.
Collaborate with healthcare teams on outbreak response and mitigation.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely reporting to relevant agencies.
Actively participate in Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives and interdisciplinary committees.
Qualifications:
Active RN license in Florida – required.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related healthcare setting.
At least 6 months of experience in restorative or rehabilitative nursing.
Proven knowledge of infection control standards, clinical protocols, and healthcare regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
