What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner/ Physicians Assistant - PRN position at West Volusia Family & Sports Medicine?
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner/ Physicians Assistant to support the health care needs of our community. We’re looking for team members who possess not only the relevant clinical skills, but also positive attitudes, flexibility, and creative mindsets. This role is for Saturday (2-3 a month) coverage. . Saturday hours are 7am-3pm. The ability to work autonomously is essential for this role. Are you ready to join our West Volusia Walk-in Clinic?
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
- Perform comprehensive assessments through interviews and physical examinations
- Educate patients on overall wellness and health maintenance
- Develop and implement patient management plans
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Perform necessary tasks for in house research program
- Cover PTO in family Practice and Walk-in - hours can vary
Qualifications:
- Florida licensed APRN/ PA
- Strong, positive leadership qualities
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work no less than one Saturday per month
