What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lodge Desk Clerk position at West Virginia?
Operates RoomMaster property management system. Registers guests by phone, in person, or by electronic means. Assigns appropriate rooms or cabins based on their availability. Writes receipts and collects money for lodging and services. Displays brochures, post cards and other information material in desk area and other assigned places. May oversee and coordinate work of other lodge desk clerks.
Ability to communicate easily and clearly, both orally and in writing. Interacts with guests and handles guest complaints in a manner consistent with the hospitality standards set forth by West Virginia State Parks. Ability to type and file accurately and efficiently. Ability to operate computers and office equipment. Ability to coordinate the work of others. Performs related work as assigned. Regular attendance is required.
