What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician-Cardiology, Non-Invasive (PVH) position at West Virginia University Medical Corporation dba University Health Associates?
West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute seek a Non-Invasive Cardiologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Keyser, WV.
Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Virginia. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of non-invasive cardiology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will be actively involved in teaching medical students, internal medicine residents, and cardiology fellows.
Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical licensure. Successful candidate must have completed an internal medicine residency program, as well as cardiovascular fellowship program. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in cardiovascular disease. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

WVU Medicine Potomac Valley Hospital is a twenty-five bed, critical access medical facility employing over two hundred area residents and extending privileges to approximately 50 physicians. This HVI Regional service will include inpatient consults, outpatient visits, echocardiography, and stress testing. APP support is present.
