About the Role
Are you passionate about community health, public nutrition, and keeping vital programs running smoothly? We are looking for a dedicated coordinator to play a central operational role across our network of 57 WIC clinics. In this position, you will support nutrition leadership, connect clinical teams with IT systems, coordinate staff training, and ensure federal and state compliance—directly impacting the quality of care provided to women, infants, and children.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Support & Nutrition Leadership Integration
- Assist Nutrition Leadership in planning and executing key initiatives, such as breastfeeding promotion programs and integrating new education modules into participant care plans.
- Collaborate with the Quality Improvement Division to create or update participant-facing nutrition materials.
2. Operations, Policy & Clinic Support
- Assist in drafting, editing, disseminating, and implementing updated policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all 57 WIC clinics to ensure consistent operations.
- Serve as a bridge between the Nutrition Services Division and the Crossroads MIS office to ensure clinic technical issues are identified and resolved efficiently.
- Monitor administrative tasks for the Crossroads system, including tracking and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements across clinic sites.
3. Training & Workforce Support
- Coordinate hybrid learning sessions and seminars, ensuring that clinical staff are equipped to resolve complex issues like participant eligibility or food package assignments.
- Ensure all training documentation and credential records for the nutrition workforce remain current and compliant with ONS standards.
4. Compliance, Reporting & Grant Support
- Compile necessary programmatic data, site visit reports, and administrative documentation to support annual state agency reporting and USDA grant monitoring.
- Assist in tracking clinic-level compliance and providing the necessary administrative support to meet federal WIC guidelines and program goals.
Minimum Qualifications
Training: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Substitution: Additional experience as described below may be substituted for the required training on a year-for-year basis.
Experience: Two (2) years full-time, equivalent part-time paid or volunteer experience in a technical or program area that is related to the area of employment.
Substitution: Post-graduate education in a field related to the area of employment may be substituted for the required experience on the basis of fifteen semester hours for one (1) year of experience.
OR
Master's degree in social work from a regionally accredited social work program from a regionally accredited college or university.
