CLASSIFICATION:
Special Education/Classroom/ Bus Aide (assigned to Pocahontas County High School for the school year, unless reassignment is needed, per West Virginia Code 18A-4-8)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant must possess a high school diploma or GED and attain a passing score on the School Service Personnel Performance Test for Aide if applicant has not previously held a classroom/bus aide position.
ASSIGNMENT:
Tend to hygienic and instructional needs of special needs student(s). Aide provides personal care services and must ride school bus and supervise child/children, if necessary. Must be able to lift student (in excess of fifty pounds) to assist with hygienic needs.
SALARY:
Based on experience and education level per Pocahontas County Schools salary schedule. See for pay scales and benefits information.
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:
Start date contingent upon completion of background checks (for external candidate)
Effective term of employment shall be the school year. Term of employment shall be 200 days each year thereafter.
shift being: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday – Friday)
