Description:
Extended School Year (ESY) Autism Teacher - Itinerant (County-wide) - June 29, 2026, through July 24, 2026, AS NEEDED, 4 hours per week, per student served
Job Summary:
1. To follow course description and delivery modes as defined in staff development
2. Carry out the laws and policies of the state and county relating to education, including the rules pertaining to the welfare of the student
3. Work closely with the supervisory/support staff in planning and implementing an excellent learning experience for students in a classroom setting
4. Evaluate continuously the progress of students
5. Develop materials to be used with the secondary program
6. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisory/support staff
7. Maintain positive communication with parents at least on a weekly basis
8. Required to attend in-service trainings
9. Commitment to full employment term
Qualifications:
A valid West Virginia Teaching Certificate in Autism. If no certified applicants apply, those with special education certification and/or permit will be considered
