Operations Supervisor

The West Valley Sanitation District announces an employment opportunity for an Operations Supervisor.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision and direction, the Operations Supervisor manages and supervises the staff of the Operations Department and is responsible for all aspects of operation and maintenance of the District’s sewer collection system and facilities, including but not limited to:

• Supervise, evaluate, and occasionally assist in the work of maintenance staff.
• Review, evaluate, and problem solving of the most difficult and complex operation and maintenance challenges.
• Review and evaluate operation and maintenance performance, implement regulatory or process changes, and assist the Director of Engineering and Operations in the development and management of the department budget.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all applicable regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, and work methods associated with assigned duties.
• Coordinate activities with other departments and interact with outside agencies, organizations, and the public.
