Job Qualifications
Responsibilities Include
- Teach mathematics courses in grades 7-12 based on district needs.
- Design engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, problem solving, and mathematical reasoning.
- Connect mathematics to authentic, real-world applications and interdisciplinary learning.
- Utilize formative and summative assessment data to guide instruction and monitor student growth.
- Differentiate instruction to support all learners.
- Foster a classroom culture built on high expectations, collaboration, and student engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional learning, and school initiatives.
- Support the district's vision of preparing students to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens.
Qualifications
- New York State Certification in Mathematics 7-12 (required)
- Strong knowledge of the New York State Next Generation Mathematics Learning Standards
- Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
