Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, ensuring accurate medical documentation
- Support medication administration under supervision, adhering to strict HIPAA guidelines and aseptic techniques
- Provide specialized care for individuals with conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments in memory or behavioral health settings
- Assist with resident transfers, positioning, and comfort measures in acute care, long-term care, assisted living, or hospice environments
- Maintain infection control standards by practicing proper hand hygiene and using personal protective equipment (PPE) during resident interactions
- Document resident information accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Eldermark to ensure seamless communication among healthcare providers
Experience
- Previous experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals , assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with critical care units (ICU), emergency medicine, or post-acute care settings enhances your ability to excel in this role
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy and physiology knowledge, and aseptic techniques is essential for delivering safe resident care
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs demonstrates your adaptability and compassion
- Proficiency in medicaland use of EMR/EHR systems like eClinicalWorks or Cerner will support your success as a CNA
- Certification as a Basic Life Support (BLS) provider is required to ensure preparedness for emergency situations
- Prior caregiving experience in community care adds valuable perspective to your skill set
