Are you ready to make a difference and do something you love!! We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Admin/Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact at our dog training facility. This role is essential to ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for our clients, while also supporting the day-to-day administrative needs of our team.
West Tennessee K9 is a dog training business dedicated to helping both dogs, and their owners navigate the challenges of life. Dog training is more than teaching a dog to sit, stay, lay down, and come. Dog training is about leadership and relationships. We keep everything super simple and easy to understand. Our primary goal is to help people, and by doing this, we help dogs.
We are looking for the right person to join our team. We pride ourselves in maintaining a clean, safe, calm, quiet, peaceful environment for the dogs, clients, and staff.
Position hours are 8:45am-5:15pm Monday - Friday with flexibility with being available on weekends or after hours for event management.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
- Greeting clients and their dogs with warmth and professionalism
- Daily dog check ins and pick ups
- Including handling dogs
- Keep our database, Gingr, up to date
- Client records
- Dog records
- Vaccination info
- Prep dogs for go home sessions
- Ensuring all belongings are sent home and printing out certificates
- Keep the front desk and lobby areas clean, organized, and welcoming
- Support visitors and give client tours
- Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of office
- Address and resolve client concerns or route them to the appropriate team member
- Carries out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, etc
- Completes operational requirements, by booking boarding, daycare, and scheduling follow up sessions
- Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail
- Supports the team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication
- Sales of retail materials
- Be fully proficient in using both Square and Gingr systems
- Maintains supplies inventory, by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies
- Planning/management of events such as community events/meet the trainer events
Requirements to Succeed:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Professional references
- Reliable transportation
- Willing to follow protocols and procedures
- Being able to closely follow schedules
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Must have a positive attitude and calm nature
- Comfortable and confident working in an environment with dogs of all breeds and sizes
