JOB SUMMARY
Now hiring an entry level NDT / Accessory technician to learn on the job and grow with our NDT/ Accessory team located in East Alton, IL.
The qualified candidate must have an FAA A&P License, along with a minimum of 5 years progressive experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician. Other factors that will be considered in selecting an internal employee to train with our NDT team will include prior performance reviews and recommendations from management.
This full-time, hourly, non-exempt position includes varying amounts of inspection, troubleshooting, adjustments, repairing and performing overhauls and testing accessory components. Capacity check and overhauls of batteries. This position also performs general tasks related to the maintenance and repair of aircraft components on a variety of airframes, using personal protection equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications, in a safe and clean work environment. Duties also include preparing and signing off on various documents for “Return to Service” and recordkeeping purposes. Also required to work with products and materials associated with component maintenance. Job duties will vary each day and are designated by the shop manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Perform overhauls or repairs on a wide variety of different airframe components.
· Troubleshoot and assist in repairing/inspecting different airframe components.
· Utilize and consistently learn new procedures on approved overhaul/repairs.
· Basic Knowledge of electricity
· Work as a team player and assist co-workers as needed.
· Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education FAA A&P License
Minimum Qualifications - A valid drivers license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not required
Experience Turbine aircraft experience preferred, but not essential.
Previous mechanic experience required.
Initiative Self-motivated and able to maintain a rapid pace.
Responsibility Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.
Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
Maintain customer-oriented work habits.

Working Conditions The majority of work will be accomplished in a heated hangar.
Work outside will occur.
