What you can expect as a Aircraft Records Analyst at West Star:
This position is responsible for reviewing historical records of aircraft maintenance logs. They will enter and maintain tracking data held in various databases and must be able to work independently and with Team Leaders or Inspectors to ensure data entry accuracy while providing customer-oriented service. They will also assist the Quality Assurance Manager, Inspector, Supervisor and other Aircraft Records Analysts with various administration tasks and duties within the department
You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:
- Perform aircraft records research and evaluation by reviewing current and historical records.
- Relay each project status/research discrepancies to the Team Leader and Inspector.
- Create, enter and update data into database tracking systems for each aircraft.
- Work with customers and other facilities to collect necessary data and other tracking systems.
- Assist in support of other Quality Control functions as required.
- Update and completion of FAA forms or records as required.
- Maintain customer oriented work habits.
- Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
- Additional duties as needed by Chief Inspector.
Qualifications:
What you’ll need to bring with you:
Your Education
A High school diploma or equivalent.
A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
1-2 years of Foreign Language helpful (German, Spanish, French, Portuguese)
Your Experience
1 years of computer literacy, including use of Microsoft Office, required.
1 years of data entry required.
1 year database maintenance preferred.
1 year of record management preferred.
1 year of customer service experience preferred

Your Sense of Responsibility:
Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.
Able to travel, work weekends, overtime, and any shift as required.
Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
Must perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
Maintain customer-oriented work habits.

Physical Requirements
Able to lift at least 25lbs.
Routine walking, bending and sitting.
Sit at a desk and/or computer for extended intervals.

Basic personal computer operations.

Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines.

Understand/implement systematic changes to existing processes.
Proficiency in technical data relating to aircraft maintenance and modifications.
Working Conditions
Majority of work will be accomplished in an office environment.
Some routine work in maintenance shop environment.
Some occasional work outside hangars may occur.
8 hour days will be standard, however occasional overtime may be required.
Equipment Used
Personal computer operating with Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Corridor and various cost and scheduling programs. Fax machine, telephone and photocopier.
