Responsibilities:
- Meets and instructs assigned classes in the location and at the times designated
- Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity, interests, and abilities of students
- Guides the learning process toward the achievement of established district curriculum goals and communicates clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects
- Designs engaging lessons and utilizes a variety of instructional techniques and media to enhance learning experiences
- Assesses student learning on a regular basis, provides progress reports as required, and communicates with parents or guardians as needed
- Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation
- Collaborates with colleagues to analyze student data, plan curriculum, and ensure meaningful learning experiences for all students
- Participates in professional development opportunities to maintain and improve professional competence
- Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
- Assists in implementing policies and rules governing student life and conduct
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
-Massachusetts D.E.S.E. Certification in History 9-12 required
-SEI Endorsement required
Salary: Per Unit A contract (salary range: $53,939.00 - $100,108.00)
