At West Sound Youth for Christ (YFC), our mission is to Give Life to Your Story® by introducing young people to Jesus and walking with them as they grow in faith. In Kitsap County, we come alongside middle and high school students through safe, welcoming programs where they are seen, heard, and loved.
The Role
We’re seeking a Ministry Site Coordinator who has a heart for teens and the leadership skills to guide a ministry site. This role combines direct student ministry, volunteer leadership, program management, and community engagement. You’ll build relationships with students, equip volunteers, and ensure the site is a thriving place where young people encounter hope and belonging.
Key Responsibilities
- Build authentic relationships with students and point them to Jesus.
- Recruit, train, and encourage a team of volunteer ministry leaders.
- Oversee after-school Drop-In programs (3 days/week) with activities, meals, and mentoring.
- Coordinate food donations and partner with volunteers to provide snacks/meals.
- Manage the ministry site facility, ensuring it is clean, safe, and welcoming.
- Develop community and donor partnerships to support the ministry.
- Participate in YFC staff meetings, trainings, and ministry events.
Qualifications
- A follower of Jesus with a passion for youth ministry.
- Experience working with teens and/or leading teams (preferred).
- Relational, organized, and able to encourage others.
- Willing to participate in fundraising and community engagement.
- Basic computer proficiency (Google Suite, Microsoft Office, etc.).
- Agreement with YFC’s Statement of Faith and Standards of Conduct.
Position Details
- Compensation: $25/hour, 20 hours/week.
- Location: Flexible (teen center, YFC office, home, and community events).
- Travel: Regular within Kitsap County; occasional regional trips.
