Job Overview
We are seeking a responsible and dedicated School Bus Driver to safely transport students to and from school and related activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine care for children's safety and well-being. Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses and other commercial vehicles according to traffic laws and company policies
- Ensure the safety of all passengers, including children, by adhering to behavior management protocols and safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with students, and dispatchers to coordinate routes and address concerns
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety and cleanliness
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus.
- Maintain accurate records of routes, schedules, incidents, and student attendance
- Follow all federal, state, and local regulations related to school bus operation
- Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming environment for students and parents alike
Experience
- Prior experience in bus driving, commercial driving, or school bus driving preferred; but not required
- Experience working with children is helpful; but not required
- Strong communication skills in English is required
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance is beneficial for routine inspections; however we will train you
- Experience with behavior management techniques to ensure student safety and discipline during transit
- Knowledge of local traffic laws, safety regulations, and child transportation best practices
- Demonstrated ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively

Pay: $ $19.50 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week
