Job Title: Driver Manager
Reports to: Operations Supervisor
About the role:
The driver manager works closely with customers, drivers, and co-workers to ensure that all loads deliver on time, safety standards are met, and that we have a great support system for our drivers that breeds retention.
Responsibilities:
- Driver retention.
- Aligning West Side Transport’s safety initiatives with assigned fleet of drivers to exceed safety performance targets.
- Manages assigned team of drivers to ensure they are meeting performance standards, which includes but is not limited to driver’s safety, Issac performance, driver adherence to their assigned start time and customer window times, driver attendance, and the cleanliness of the equipment that they operate.
- Managing DOT compliance of assigned driver fleet i.e., drug screens, DOT physicals.
- Communicating lane and driver issues to the Fleet Manager that is responsible for that piece of business.
- Tracking, Tracing, updating the system, communication with customers, and managing the ETA alert screen for all lanes that are operating throughout your shift.
- Maintaining the data integrity and accuracy of the information that is being entered into the system.
- Loads properly T called.
- Trailers and tractors in their respective locations systematically.
- Drivers Properly assigned to orders and corresponding equipment.
- Load information is entered into the system in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Adherence to customer metrics requirements and guidelines to hit our scorecard targets.
- Covering any open that occur during your during the shift and communicating
- Ensures that all assigned drivers are being utilized and not left idle.
- Communicates available driver capacity to the Fleet Manager team.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
