Position Title: Driver Recruiter
Position Reports to: Director of Recruiting
Position Summary: Recruiting Class-A truck drivers for a variety of divisions within our operations using a combination of sales, communication, organizational, and digital skills. This is a fast paced and ever-evolving environment based on hiring goals and quotas.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Accept, process and contact applicants to qualify and persuade drivers to work for us. Adhere to internal hiring guidelines and federal regulations surrounding the trucking industry.
- Matching candidates to internal job postings through consultation, rapport building, and utilizing industry terms and ideas to properly connect with drivers. Understand geographical and logistics related concepts.
- Persistent work ethic with ability to receive and execute on coaching and direction to meet goal-based deadlines.
- Interface with our Safety, Operations, and Onboarding departments with respect to hiring and retention efforts
- Developing higher level skills as a professional recruiter such as the ability to recognize serious and qualified candidates efficiently and decisively.
- Be flexible and adapt to the changes in our offerings and in our process, the ability to pivot from one goal to another without losing productivity
Qualifications Requirements:
Education and Experience: Two years of recruiting or sales and customer service experience required.
Skills and Abilities: Must have strong computer skills, specifically using Office 365 programs with emphasis on Excel, Outlook, Teams and Sharepoint. Excellent interpersonal and persuasion talents with a strong phone presence. The ability to work within a small team dynamic. Most importantly, the willingness and ability to learn and be trainable in the way we do business.
Physical Qualifications: Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Long periods of sitting and use of telephone and PC required.
