What are the responsibilities and job description for the GI Surgical Tech position at West Side Gi LLC?
As a GI Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians during procedures.
Ideal candidates should have prior experience as a surgical tech in an ambulatory center, preferably in a GI setting. Bilingual candidates (Spanish) are highly preferred. However, we are open to training motivated individuals who are eager to learn and grow in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field during procedures.
- Assist physicians by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Ensure all equipment is properly functioning and assist in surgical area setup.
- Prepare patients for procedures and provide pre- and post-operative support.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient safety and care.
- Ensure the procedure room is ready for medical procedure.
- Adapt to changes within your role as needed.
- Maintain a positive attitude and work well with the team.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a surgical setting, preferably in a GI ambulatory center, is a plus.
- Spanish proficiency - a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to high patient care standards.
