We provide nutritious food and benefits enrollment with dignity, lead collaborative efforts to fight hunger across the city, and engage in policy advocacy to address the root causes of hunger. Since 1979, WSCAH has put dignity, community, and choice at the heart of supporting food-insecure New Yorkers and transforming the emergency feeding sector. WSCAH has grown from serving 100 people weekly to over 120,000 people annually. Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 based on experience and qualifications. WSCAH offers a comprehensive benefits package, including company-paid medical, dental, and life insurance, retirement plan with 6% match after one year of employment, as well as paid holidays and vacation leave. Position OverviewWest Side Campaign Against Hunger is seeking a relationship-driven and strategic Senior Donor Engagement Manager to deepen donor engagement and expand philanthropic support for WSCAH's mission. This role manages a portfolio of mid- and major-level donors, creates thoughtful and personalized engagement strategies, and partners closely with organizational leaders to inspire sustained giving. The Senior Donor Engagement Manager will strengthen donor relationships through meaningful communication, tailored stewardship, and data-informed portfolio management, contributing to WSCAH's long-term fundraising growth.Key areas of responsibility will include:Portfolio ManagementQualify donors within WSCAH's database and develop prioritized portfolios for the CEO and development team members.Manage a portfolio of mid- to major-level donors, with an emphasis on cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding meaningful gifts.Create customized strategies that align donor interests with WSCAH's priorities and deepen long-term engagement.Meet annual revenue and portfolio engagement goals through consistent, mission-aligned relationship building.Donor Engagement & StewardshipDevelop and implement intentional touchpoints such as calls, visits, events, digital or written outreach that strengthen donor connection to WSCAH's impact.Ensure timely, personalized stewardship including acknowledgments, recognition opportunities, and impact updates.Contribute strategic insight to donor retention and growth initiatives across the development team.Database, Reporting, & Research Maintain accurate donor records in WSCAH's CRM by promptly logging all interactions, activities, and outcomes.Use data and reporting tools to monitor donor engagement trends, identify opportunities, and inform portfolio strategy.Leverage research tools including wealth screening and prospect research to identify new prospects and strengthen understanding of donor capacity and interests.Collaboration & Organizational StrategyPartner with Development colleagues, the CEO, and board members to execute cultivation and solicitation strategies.Collaborate with program and communications teams to develop compelling donor-facing content such as impact stories, updates, and reports.Support the planning and execution of events that showcase WSCAH's mission, programs, and impact to donors and prospects.CompetenciesCommunication Skills: Demonstrates clear, compelling, and donor-centered verbal and written communication.Relationship Building & Customer Service Orientation: Provides exceptional stewardship and cultivates trust with donors and partners.Strategic Thinking: Develops engagement strategies that align donors' interests with WSCAH's mission and long-term goals.Project Management: Plans and executes donor strategies and events effectively, meeting deadlines and objectives.Cultural Competence: Engages donors and colleagues with awareness, respect, and inclusivity across diverse communities.Qualifications5 years of fundraising experience or transferrable relationship-management skills, with a demonstrated record of cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individual donors at various giving levels.Exceptional relationship-building abilities, with the capacity to inspire trust, deepen donor commitment, and communicate WSCAH's mission with authenticity and empathy.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop compelling, donor-centered messages, impact stories, and solicitation materials.Strategic and results-driven professional with experience managing donor portfolios, setting engagement strategies, and meeting or exceeding annual fundraising goals.Collaborative team member who thrives in a mission-driven, community-focused environment and contributes to a culture of inclusivity and shared success.Familiarity with donor databases and CRM systems preferred; willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies is essential.While the above experience and skills are preferred, applicants are encouraged to apply even if they don't currently meet all the listed qualifications.
