Job Summary: The Project Superintendent oversees all aspects of assigned mitigation and abatement projects from initial mobilization through completion. This role manages internal crews and subcontractors, coordinates budgets and schedules, ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, and communicates regularly with clients, insurance adjusters, and internal leadership. The superintendent drives production, maintains documentation, and ensures that all work meets company standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
● Project Oversight:
○ Manage all phases of mitigation and abatement projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, and close‑out. Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
● Labor Coordination:
○ Oversee all phases of restoration projects, from initial assessment through completion, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
○ Coordinate and oversee internal technicians and external subcontractors to ensure adequate staffing, effective communication, and accountability on site. Assign tasks and provide daily direction to crews.
● Budget & Resource Management:
○ Develop and track project budgets, and verify materials and equipment needs. Monitor labor and material costs to keep projects profitable.
● Production & Quality Control:
○ Drive daily production goals and enforce quality standards, safety protocols, and compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
● Compliance & Safety:
○ Ensure all work is completed in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, particularly regarding asbestos abatement and water damage restoration.
○ Promote a culture of safety within the team and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
● Client Communication:
○ Serve as the primary point of contact for property owners, facility managers, consultants, and insurance representatives. Provide clear explanations of project scope, progress, and any changes.
● Team Leadership:
○ Mentor and support field staff, ensuring they follow company policies and standards. Facilitate training on mitigation, abatement procedures, and safety practices.
● Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned to support successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
● Experience managing mitigation and/or abatement projects in restoration or construction industries.
● Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
● Working knowledge of water, fire, mold, and asbestos remediation protocols and regulations.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
● Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
● Ability to read and interpret job scopes, budgets, and technical documents.
● Proficiency with project‑management software and reporting tools (e.g., Xactimate, DASH, Excel).
● Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
● Required certifications:IICRC (eg. WRT, ASD, etc), 40hr Asbestos Supervisor
Physical Requirements:
● Ability to walk project sites, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.
● May be required to work in confined spaces, attics, or other challenging environments.
● Available for on‑call rotations and emergency response outside normal business hours.
Work Environment:
● Works both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in adverse conditions (heat, cold, smoke, dust).
● Occasional exposure to hazardous materials while following proper PPE and safety protocols.
