What are the responsibilities and job description for the EMS Driver - Supplemental position at West River Health Services?
Purpose: Assist with delivery of quality patient care and serves as ambulance driver. Performs a variety of activities in the pre-hospital setting.
Reporting Relationship: Accountable to EMTs, Paramedics and EMS Coordinator.
Physical Demands: Work is primarily active with walking, standing, bending, stretching, and lifting. Must be able to lift patients and push occupied cots. Ability to lift 75 pounds. Sit for several continuous hours riding in an ambulance is expected.
Essential Job Requirements:
Experience: No experience required. Training provided.
Must be 21 years of age. No DUI or felony convictions. Clean driving record.
Certification: Required – CPR - certification can be provided by WRHS
Shifts:
6a-6p / 6p-6a
On call pay w/ call back if/when activated.
Must be able to go “En Route” with ambulance within 10 minutes from time of page out. If live more than 10 minutes from ambulance garage, staff are required to stay in ambulance housing provided by WRHS.
