What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpentry position at West Point Industries?
General duties and responsibilities are as follows, but are not limited to:
- Must be able to operate machinery: saw, plane, router, etc. to construct cast metal molding equipment.
- Must be able to measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials with precision.
- Must be able to read a rule or tape measure.
- Must be able to thoroughly read and interpret blueprints in order to make a pattern completely on their own and/or through the instruction of another person.
- Must have good math skills.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
