Job Summary:

West Plains Mining, LLC is seeking drug-free, motivated, and safety-conscious individuals to join our Rail Crew. This position is responsible for safely unloading railcars containing aggregate. This is a physically demanding, outdoor job with a strong emphasis on teamwork, safety, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently unload railcars according to company procedures
• Travel to Unload Site, in a specific amount of time
• Operate heavy equipment and hand tools as required
• Inspect railcars for damage or safety issues before unloading
• Cleaning the rail cars before re-loading
• Ensure all materials are handled and stored properly
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure safe operations
• Complete required documentation and logs accurately
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures

Requirements:

• Must pass pre-employment drug screening
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., bend, twist, and work in varying weather conditions
• Comfortable working outdoors and in physically demanding environments
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to follow safety procedures
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays if needed
• Ability to travel to the unloading sites (50-75 miles)
• Valid driver’s license

Work Environment:

• Outdoor rail yard or industrial site
• Exposure to weather conditions (rain, sun, heat, cold)
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required
