Job Summary
West Plains Surgery Center is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team. You will collaborate with surgeons and perioperative staff to deliver high-quality patient care from pre-op to post-op, ensuring seamless operating room operations and sterile field maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and assist with case preparation.
- Establish and maintain an independent sterile field throughout procedures.
- Handle, care for, and prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist with teaching and mentoring newly hired technologists and students.
- Adhere to ASC policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety goals.
- Specialties include: Ophthalmology, ENT, General Surgery, and GI Endoscopy
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program
- Active certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
- Ability to stand, ambulate, and move/lift objects weighing 20 pounds in an active clinical environment
Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
