Overview
Join our team at West Pike Bowl! We have a brand new, fully renovated bar & restaurant in addition to 20 lanes of bowling and family entertainment. We are looking to expand our roster of bartenders to help provide an unmatched guest experience to every patron that comes in. We are looking for those that enjoy hosting their guests, are comfortable in the chaos of a busy shift, and bring energy and positivity to the environment they're working in.
We have both day and night shifts available. Our day time bartenders are paid an additional rate to offset the lower tips due to possible slower times during the day time hours.
Reliability and being on time is a requirement of this job. Being late and repeatedly missing shifts will not be tolerated.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages accurately and efficiently using Square POS.
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences, recommend drinks, and provide exceptional customer service that encourages repeat visits.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to food safety and food handling standards at all times.
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties with precision, ensuring accurate transactions and balancing registers at shift end.
- Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and communicate needs to management to ensure smooth operations.
- Uphold responsible serving practices by checking IDs, recognizing intoxication signs, and following all alcohol service regulations.
- Collaborate seamlessly with kitchen staff during catering or banquet events to coordinate food and beverage service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender in family dining, nightclub, or banquet environments preferred; food industry or hospitality background highly valued.
- Familiarity with Square POS; basic math skills for cash handling and retail math are essential.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy shifts.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest experiences.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special events like catering or banquets.
Pay: $7.25 - $15.00 per hour
