Field Safety Advisor – Pipeline Construction
West Penn Energy Services – Shelocta, PA
Full-Time | Field-Based | Starting January
West Penn Energy Services is seeking a Field Safety Advisor to support major pipeline construction projects starting in January. This is a full-time, long-term field position based out of our Shelocta office, with most work performed on active job sites.
We are looking for a safety professional with pipeline experience, strong training/presentation skills, and the ability to conduct safety training from one-on-one sessions up to groups of 35. Experience with policy development and field safety leadership is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support daily field safety operations on pipeline construction projects
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and JSAs
- Perform site inspections, hazard identification, and safety audits
- Maintain safety documentation, training records, and incident reports
- Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions
- Deliver safety training and presentations to individuals and large groups
- Work closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, and field crews
- Assist with development and updates to safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Previous pipeline safety experience required
- Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to lead safety training for groups up to 35 employees
- OSHA 10 or 30 preferred; First Aid/CPR a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, HSE, or related field preferred
- Ability to work in outdoor/field environments
- Must be able to commute to Shelocta, PA when not on project sites
