We are seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join West Noble School Corporation for the 2026-2027 school year. In this role, you will prevent, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in students across various grade levels.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary evaluation teams to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) that support students' academic and social success.
Responsibilities
- Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive screenings and evaluations of students to identify communication disorders and determine eligibility for speech-language services.
- IEP Development: Design, write, and implement measurable goals and objectives for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Direct Therapy: Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy sessions targeting articulation, fluency, voice, resonance, receptive/expressive language, and augmentative/alternative communication (AAC).
- Collaboration & Consultation: Partner with classroom teachers, special education staff, parents, and administrators to integrate communication goals into the classroom environment and support student progress.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely records of student progress, attendance, and evaluation data in strict compliance with state and federal regulations (including IDEA and HIPAA).
- Equipment Management: Assess the need for, select, and train students and staff on the use of Assistive Technology and AAC devices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Valid State License in Speech-Language Pathology (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date).
- Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is highly preferred
- Skills: Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP processes, and compliance tracking. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with families and school staff. Ability to adapt therapy techniques to support diverse learning styles and age groups.
