Responsibilities

• Design and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy education, physical activity, social-emotional skills, and early intervention strategies tailored to infants and toddlers.
• Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management.
• Plan engaging lesson plans that incorporate Montessori principles, classroom management techniques, and developmental milestones to support each child's unique needs.
• Monitor and document each child's progress through observations, assessments, and standardized testing when applicable; communicate findings with families and team members effectively.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop individualized plans for children requiring special education or additional support services.
• Maintain open communication with parents and guardians to share insights on their child's growth, behavior, and learning activities.
• Ensure compliance with childcare regulations, health standards, and best practices in childhood development while managing classroom routines efficiently.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting; classroom experience with infants and toddlers is essential.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, including curriculum development, behavior management, and classroom management techniques.
• Familiarity with special education concepts, early intervention programs, literacy education strategies, and Montessori methods is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, colleagues, and community partners.
• Ability to plan lessons that incorporate math skills, physical education activities, and child welfare best practices.
• Demonstrated understanding of childhood development stages specific to infants and toddlers; experience with standardized testing or assessment tools is a plus.
