School Hours Part-Time Custodian/Janitor
Responsibilities of School Custodian/Janitor:
- Clean and set-up of cafeteria for lunch periods
- Prepare and empty trash receptacles during lunch service
- Break down cafeteria tables following lunch service
- Wipe down hard surfaces
- Sweep, mop floors
- Clean interior windows/doors
- Dust and vacuum front lobby/vestibule areas
- Clean and restock restrooms
- Assist with set-up for art/music programs as needed
Requirements of School Custodian/Janitor:
- No Experience, No Problem!
- Ability to work independently and stay on task
- Must be reliable and have good attendance
- Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to use motorized equipment (vacuum, hand operated floor cleaners)
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety related materials
- Must have reliable transportation
- MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK & Fingerprinting
Shift Time: 11:00am to 2:00pm (Monday through Friday) (15 total hours per week)
Custodians/Janitors have daily exposure to cleaning solutions.
