Job Skills / Requirements
Requirements of Commercial Custodian/Janitor:
- No Experience, No Problem!
- Effectively communicate with manager and other staff regarding issues and supply needs
- This role travels between 4 buildings (one customer) in North Holland - Reliable transportation a must!
- Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods, lots of walking in this role
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to use motorized equipment (vacuum, hand operated floor cleaners)
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety related materials
- Must be able to pass a background check
Role of Commercial Custodian/Janitor:
- Maintaining the cleanliness of a commercial building
- Cleaning, stocking and sanitizing several restrooms
- Disposing of trash & recycling which requires lots of bending and stooping
- Cleaning of stairwells
- Mopping & sweeping floors
- Dusting and surface cleaning
- Windows and glass cleaning
- Inventory management of supplies
Custodians/Janitors have daily exposure to cleaning solutions.
Shift: 5:00pm to 11:15am (Monday through Friday)
