West Michigan International (WMI) invites you to join our team as a Used Truck Sales Representative. As a locally owned group of companies, we are dedicated to providing exceptional customer service across our five locations in Grand Rapids, Holland, Kalamazoo, Lansing, and Muskegon. We offer a comprehensive truck dealership experience, including sales, leasing/rental, financing, service, parts, and body shops. Responsibilities
- Prospect for customers in a designated territory or account list daily by phone
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and leads with effective written and verbal communication
- Promote current inventory and support the appraisal process
- Prepare quotes and proposals, prep vehicle test drives, communicate finance and warranty options while delivering excellent customer service and after-sales support
- Communicate full complement of company capabilities (new/used truck/trailer sales/leasing, OEM new/used/refurbished parts sales, light/heavy duty towing, mobile service, paint shop, body shop, frame alignment/straightening, detail shop…) across all brands (WMI, K&R, WMM, MTP)
- Maintain a comprehensive customer and prospect database in company CRM system
- Achieve or exceed truck sales revenue and non-revenue based goals
- Attend training to continuously increase knowledge of truck and equipment specifications and updates
- Lead lot maintenance activities (start truck inventory, cycle truck inventory, …) on a weekly basis while communicating individual vehicle concerns to manager and service team
- Document specifications of incoming inventory to properly market on internal and external sites
- Maintain current photos of lot inventory to properly market on internal and external sites
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A confident, positive attitude with a customer-focused approach
- Prior sales/mechanic experience or equivalent medium and heavy-duty truck industry experience
- Proficiency with MS Office products and web-based applications
- Detail-oriented
- CDL preferred, or motivation to obtain
