Annual Salary Pay Range: $49,129 - $69,255
The Compliance Specialist will review internal policies and make recommendations to improve compliance. The Compliance Specialist will complete audits, pull random samples, analyze data from multiple systems, maintain compliance applications, assist with risk assessments, and write reports. The specialist will work alongside Director of Corporate Compliance and Risk Management and independently on confidential matters and must not be influenced by criticism, peer pressure, or personal relationships. This position will assist with coverage for the Director of Corporate Compliance and Risk Management, as needed. The Compliance Specialist must be able to keep current on various state and federal requirements and laws, understand and analyze complex matters, write and present concise meaningful, professional reports.
This position is currently being offered as a hybrid with remote and onsite responsibilities.
JOB DUTIES:
- Auditing
Manage select ongoing monitoring assignments to confirm alignment with requirements, policy, contracts, and regulations, and document findings from monitoring activities. This will involve coordinating with subject matter experts. Analysis of information from multiple sources using data analytic tools.
- Documenting
Provide support with data collection, data analysis, and report preparation for leadership members and board members using appropriate requirement references. This includes accurately summarizing the findings and ensuring that they are clear and concise. Provide documentation for all staff regarding regulatory changes along with internal processes, procedures, and policy updates.
- Execute the 7 elements of Compliance
Participate in process improvement initiatives to support fundamental ethics and compliance initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional areas and communicate the company’s program to business stakeholders across the organization. Investigate third party risk management related issues. Produce actionable reporting for executive level audiences. Develop relationships throughout the organization to foster a collaborative approach to proactive compliance.
- Manage Compliance Software
Assist Compliance Director with managing data, risks, and audits and gaps in compliance along with organizational risk.
- Research
Use creditable, relevant resources to support rational behind audit and investigation results. This includes summarizing the research and information into manageable context.
- Training and Education
Assist with developing training and education in changing policies and regulations. Assist with answering frequently asked questions. Assist in developing compliance awareness initiatives to promote compliance cultural organizationally.
