What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Research Assistant position at West Michigan Clinical Research Center?
Gastroenterology Associates of Western Michigan, PLC is looking to add a Clinical Research Assistant to our growing West Michigan Clinical Research team. Clinical Research Assistants (RAs) are responsible for assisting Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs) with various tasks as delegated on each Delegation of Authority Log. RAs may perform many of the same tasks as a CRC, however, an RA may require additional oversight from the CRC and Principal Investigator. Some of these tasks may include:
- Recruit subjects via physician referrals, database scan, chart review, making phone calls and sending emails to potential research subjects, and in-person discussions with potential research subjects .
- Participate in biopsy collection if required per protocol.
- Create and maintain source documents in accordance with ALCOA
- Obtain vitals, height, and weight
- Perform EKGs
- Maintain investigational product
- Minor lab sample collection, processing, and shipping of samples per lab manual
- Data entry (within 24 hours of a visit is preferred; Sponsor requirements may vary)
- Laboratory Supplies: Ensure Site has appropriate number of Lab Kits, organize Lab Kits, dispose of expired Lab Kits
- Courtesy Calls - Remind Study Subjects of scheduled appointments and procedure dates, remind Subjects about the importance of compliance taking IP and completing diary entries
- Participate in Site Selection Visits, Site Initiation Visits, Site Monitoring Calls, Interim Monitoring Visits, and Close Out Visits.
Our main office is located in Wyoming, Michigan. You may be asked to travel to other office locations in Greenville, Sherridan, or Big Rapids, Michigan if a study participant would like to be seen at those office locations.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
