What are the responsibilities and job description for the Exercise Physiologist position at West Michigan Cardiology?
Here at West Michigan Cardiology, we are looking to hire 4 day a week Exercise Physiologist to join our Cardiac Rehab team.
Job Summary
Scheduling cardiac rehabilitation patients
Verifying patients are appropriate for cardiac rehab
New patient intakes
Monitoring phase 2 cardiac rehab patients
Exercise prescriptions and adjusting when necessary
Monitoring vitals, making sure they are in a safe/ appropriate ranges for pre, during and post exercise.
Ability to identify when someone is symptomatic and the policy we have in place
Performing /interpreting EKGs
Facilities education classes
Promoting healthy lifestyles and risk modification
Documenting accurate and timely information into patients health records
Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology, exercise science or other related field
Preferred
1 year of clinical patient experience
Location: West Michigan Cardiology- Grand Rapids, MI
Shift: days
Hours of work: 8 hour days 8am-4:30pm
Days worked: Monday- Thursday, no weekends or holidays
