Position Purpose: Under the general supervision of the School Principal and CTE Director, to develop, coordinate, and follow the Career and Technical Education (CTE) curriculum while empowering students to be successful citizens, workers, and leaders in a global economy. All programs in Career and Technical Education are designed to contribute to the broad educational achievement of students through a focus on the following:
- Identify, organize, plan, and allocate resources – time, money, materials, facilities, and human resources.
- Work with a variety of technologies.
- Contribute to developing reading, writing, listening, speaking, and mathematical skills.
- Contribute to the development of thinking creatively, making decisions, solving problems, and reasoning.
- Help students with career planning and future employment success. Emphasis is placed on understanding the world of work, the skills needed for employment success, and the career planning and preparation process.
- Help students experience an orientation to self-awareness and the world of work. Emphasis is placed on self-awareness and how interests, attitudes, values, learning styles, skills, and personality influence career choices.
- Based on the National Career Development Guidelines, skills reinforced include, but are not limited to, communications, personal management, and teamwork.
Bachelor's Degree
