Job Summary
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately and promptly processing all incoming shipments, verifying product details, and maintaining organized inventory records. Primary Responsibilities
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols while handling shipments. Report hazards or incidents to management immediately.
- Communication and Coordination: Communicate with vendors regarding delivery schedules, discrepancies, or issues. Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and inventory control, to ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments. Maintain clear and organized records of all received goods and related documentation.
- Shipment Reception: Receive and process shipment documentation from carriers. Review deliveries for accuracy and condition, comparing items against purchase orders and packing lists. Sign for deliveries and ensure proper documentation is completed.
- Inventory Management: Update inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or other tracking systems. Organize and store received items in designated warehouse locations. Assist in periodic inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Quality Control: Inspect goods for damages or discrepancies and report issues to the appropriate department. Process returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in the receiving area.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized assigned work area at all times during your scheduled shift.
- Other duties as assigned.

- While performing the duties of this job, the Crew Member regularly works near moving equipment.
- Position is routinely exposed to hot and cold temperatures during Summer and Winter months in the Distribution Center.
