Sales clerk for nights & weekends

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, providing exceptional customer service.
• Operate the cash register (POS system), handle retail sales transactions accurately, and manage cash drawer operations with integrity.
• Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities to maximize sales.
• Maintain stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring merchandise is well-presented and accessible.
• Assist with merchandising efforts to create attractive product displays that enhance store visual appeal.
• Use phone etiquette skills to answer inquiries professionally and direct customers or calls appropriately.
• Support inventory management by participating in stock counts and ensuring accurate record keeping of sales and stock levels.

Requirements

• Previous experience with POS systems, cash register operations, or retail sales transactions is preferred.
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail environment is a plus.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for cash handling and retail math tasks.
• Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued for serving diverse customer bases effectively.
• Knowledge of retail store product details and merchandising techniques to enhance customer engagement.
• Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, and customer service excellence is desirable.
• Familiarity with stocking procedures, inventory management, and cash drawer handling ensures smooth daily operations.
