Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Set Up Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in CNC machining and programming, with the ability to set up and operate various CNC machines including lathes and milling machines. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficiency and precision of our manufacturing processes, contributing to the overall quality of our products.
Duties
- Set up and operate CNC machines, including CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining specifications and tolerances.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and ensure quality control throughout the production process.
- Program CNC machines using Fanuc controls, CAM programming software, and SolidWorks as needed.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Collaborate with team members on the assembly line for efficient materials handling and packaging operations.
- Perform quality checks on finished products using GD&T principles to maintain high standards of manufacturing excellence.
- Operate additional equipment such as press brake machines, stamping presses, and welding tools as required for fabrication tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a manufacturing facility with a focus on CNC machining or related fields.
- Proficiency in CNC programming, including knowledge of Fanuc systems and CAD software.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications accurately.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to machining processes.
- Previous factory or warehouse experience is advantageous, particularly in materials handling or assembly operations.
