Role Description
This is a part-time Volunteer Strength & Conditioning Coach position, located on-site at West Los Angeles College in Culver City, CA. The role involves designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs to improve athletic performance and reduce the risk of injury. Responsibilities include leading strength & conditioning sessions, monitoring athlete progress, and collaborating with the coaching staff and medical staff to create tailored programs that support athletic success.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Sports Science and knowledge of Strength & Conditioning principles
- Experience with Athletic Performance and designing programs that enhance fitness and athletic capabilities
- Skills in Injury Prevention and implementing strategies for safe physical activity
- Proficiency in Strength Training techniques and planning progressive workouts
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with athletes, coaches, and medical staff
- Relevant certifications such as NSCA-CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) or equivalent are highly desirable
- Previous experience in coaching, personal training, or athletic development is a plus
