Job Overview

This role involves pressure washing, industrial painting, sandblasting, maintenance, and general labor at different job sites including work for some on mine property. The position requires operating heavy-duty equipment, executing tasks to high safety standards, and working in varied environmental conditions.

• Role Type: Contract / 1099 starting out- with possible opportunity to transition to full time w/ vacation.

Duties

• Assist with site preparation
• Load and unload materials and efficiently and safely
• Perform tasks such as sandblasting, painting, pressure washing, maintenance, and other labor needed depending on the job.
• Work along side others to get a job completed
• Maintain a clean and organized work site to promote safety and efficiency
• Follow safety protocols at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Help with site cleanup at the end of each workday to ensure a tidy and hazard-free environment

Key Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation: Safely operate sandblasting equipment to strip surfaces of rust, scale, and old paint in strict accordance with Safety Standards.
• Painting: Apply industrial coatings, primers, and paints using brushes, rollers, or sprayers to specification.
• Pressure Washing: Utilize commercial-grade pressure washers to clean buildings, heavy equipment, and job sites.
• General Maintenance: Perform routine facility repairs, preventative maintenance, and site cleanup as directed.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as respirators, harnesses, and eye protection.

Skills

• Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor for extended periods
• Ability to follow instructions carefully and work well within a team setting
• Basic understanding of safety practices and PPE usage
• Willingness to learn new skills on the job and take direction from supervisors
• Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and understanding job requirements
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for maintaining project timelines
• Prior experience in laboring is a plus but not required; eagerness to develop new skills is highly valued.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Experience in sandblasting, industrial painting, and pressure washing. (Can be trained this is not a must, but a bonus to your application and proven experience will factor into pay scale)
• Physical Ability: Capability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work at elevated heights or in confined spaces.
• Equipment Knowledge: (Preferred) Familiarity with the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of sprayers, compressors, and pressure washers.
• Schedule Flexibility: Ability to adapt to varying project hours, including potential evening or weekend shifts to meet deadlines.
• Surface Mining Card is a necessity as we have contract work for the coal mines. Classes/Training are available. But already having one and being able to start is a PLUS.
