Position: In-House Intervention Supervisor
Reports to: Assistant Principal in charge of discipline
Supervises: None
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Must have good communication skills with parents and teachers.
- Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Position Goal:
- Give students an opportunity to continue academic studies in a school setting.
- Provide a structured atmosphere.
- Modify student behavior so that the student can return to the regular classroom environment.
- Serve customers in the main office when there are no students assigned to In House.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Strict supervision of students assigned to IHS.
- Organize student assignments sent by teacher and return when completed by student.
- Contact teachers if assignments are not sent.
- Keep an accurate account of student attendance.
- Handle discipline problems if they arise and report chronic problems to assistant principal in charge of discipline.
- Supervise restroom breaks of In House students.
- Supervise lunch break of In House students.
- Assist Site Administrative Assistant and Registrar with office tasks as needed, including answering the phone, greeting visitors, entering student attendance, and assigning class coverage.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Employment Terms: Nine (9) month Classified hourly contract
