The minimum base salary for this position is $70,000 and the maximum starting salary is $80,000, plus additional annual profit-sharing bonus potential. Salary may vary based on education, knowledge and experience.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will bring strong accounting and finance experience, a process-improvement mindset, and the ability to translate accurate financial information into practical support for teams across the company. The Corporate Finance Accountant will work both independently and collaboratively with the accounting team, support staff, project managers, scientists, and biometricians to support reliable financial operations and informed decision-making.
Responsibilities include a mix of recurring accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance support, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration, including:
- Cash management and associated reporting.
- General journal entries and reconciliation of GL accounts.
- State tax filings
- Month-end close procedures.
- Year-end close procedures.
- Day to day operational support.
- Project and grant reporting.
- Fixed asset management.
- Calculating overhead and indirect rates.
- Assisting the Finance Manager, Finance Director and CFO with various compliance audits.
- Performing quality control activities across accounting functions.
- Training employees in job duties, company policies, and Deltek Vantagepoint software application.
- Assisting in establishing accounting policies and procedures.
- Participating in regular meetings to communicate status and relevant project updates.
